Description Poem:
Down in the city of New York
The building here lies
Full of thousands of stars
That brightly glow in the sky
With panels and windows
You can seek through
And hexagons of hope
That people will peek through
This monument is perfect
If stargazing is for you
Inside sitting in the dark
Each star has its own spark
Shooting across the ceiling
There is no better feeling
Then spending an evening
In an indoor planetarium.
Nice poem, Maddie! The way your design blends sharper shapes with the curved strips of paper is really well done!
ReplyDeleteMaddie, I wish we could build this full scale and have it here on campus at Archmere! Your poetry is also excellent-you should submit this to the Tapestry, the Archmere school magazine with a photo of your model for publication. Take a look at the work of James Turrell, your concept reminds me of his work. I had the chance to experience his Sky space at Crystal Bridges-it was incredible!
