The first thing I learned was that Isaac Newton created the color wheel in 1665. On the color wheel, two colors that line up on opposite sides of the color wheel are called complementary colors. I also learned that vibrant color schemes contain two contrasting colors and are used to draw attention to a specific section on a piece of art.
